5 Ways Coffee Can Improve Your Skin

If you’re like me, you probably struggle to function without your morning coffee.

Yes, we know coffee boosts energy in the morning along with metabolism but this is all in the form of a beverage, what about if it’s applied to your skin?

Well, let me tell you, if you thought it was great to drink, it’s even better to apply to your skin!

Coffee is full of antioxidants and a great source of nutrients that can benefit your skin. I am sure after you finish reading this, you will definitely be testing it out!
Below are 5 ways you can use coffee and how it can benefit you:

1. Helps to Reduce Cellulite

There has been a strong relationship between coffee and the reduction of cellulite over the last few years, why, you may ask? Because coffee contains cellulites enemy caffeine.

Cellulite can start to diminish because blood vessels widen and skin tightens from the stimulating effects of caffeine, which helps to improve blood flow and the elimination of excess water.

Also, coffee is full of antioxidants and when applied to your skin regularly, can help to leave it looking firmer, reducing the appearance of the little dimples we know as cellulite!

2. Removes Dead Skin Cells

It’s not a tough one to work out, but coffee makes an amazing exfoliant. It is gentle yet course enough to remove dead skin cells without irritating your skin. Via the removal of dead skin cells, you will be able to see a brighter complexion that is more even in appearance.

Did you know that coffee grounds don’t dissolve in water? This is one of the many reasons it makes such a great exfoliant in the bath or shower!

3. Can Help to Treat Acne

As we all know, acne occurs from the build-up of oil, dead skin cells, and other substances that can clog your pores.

Gently scrubbing your face with coffee grounds can help clear away dead skin cells and unclog pores.

As we established before, coffee contains many antioxidants, one of which is known as caffeic acid and has antimicrobial properties, helping to protect your skin from germs and bacteria.
